Installation
The flange assembly for connecting the PMFL servo-controlled level regulating valve must be transported separately.The PMFL servo-controlled level regulating valve must be installed according to the flow direction indicated by the arrow on the valve body, with the valve end cap facing upward(Figure 1). The end cap can be rotated in four 90°directions on the valve body without affecting the valve's functionality.The PMFL servo-controlled level regulating valve is equipped with a manual operatinglever, allowing manual control of the valve's opening and closing. If an externalpilot valve is used, it must be connected to the upper part of the main pipeline toprevent debris and oil from the system from entering the pilot valve line.The PMFL servo-controlled level regulating valve can be controlled by an SV series floatvalve (Figure 7). Please refer to the installation guide for the SV series.The PMFL servo-controlled level regulating valve is designed to withstandhigh internal pressures. Nevertheless, the pipeline systemdesign must also avoid liquid traps to prevent excessive pressurecaused by thermal expansion, which could damage the pipeline.The pipeline design should consider effective protection against transient "liquidhammer" phenomena in the system.
Welding
During flange welding, ensure that the solder and welding method are suitable for the flange material. After welding, the valve body must be thoroughlycleaned to ensure that all welding slag is removed before installation.After assembly, ensure that the PMFL servo-controlled levelregulating valve is not subjected to external additional pressure.It is strictly prohibited to install the PMFL servo-controlled level regulating valve with the outletunprotected and directly exposed to the atmosphere. If it is necessary to install the valveat an outlet position without a pipeline, connect the valve outlet to the system using a pipeline, orseal the valve outlet with a welded blind plate to ensure systemsafety.
Color and Identification
The PMFL servo-controlled level regulating valve has undergone zinc-chromium anti-rust treatment before leaving the factory. If further anti-corrosion protection is required, the valve can be painted.The precise identification of the valve is located on the information identification(ID) plate on the valve end cap.After installation and assembly, the valve must be coated with a suitableprotective coating to prevent external surface corrosion.When repainting, it is recommended to protect the information identification (ID)plate.
Maintenance
Service
The PMFL servo-controlled level regulating valve is easy to disassemble, facilitating maintenance. It can be cleaned by removing the bottom cover and using a filter.Do not open the PMFL servo-controlled level regulating valve while it is under pressure.
‒ Check if the O-rings and gaskets are intact
‒ Check the valve core for scratches and wear
‒ If the Teflon valve plate is damaged, be sure to replace it with a spare part
Assembly
Before installing the valve, remove all foreign objects from the valve body.Check that all passages are not blocked by foreign objects.
Tightening
Refer to Figure 3 and Table 1 for tightening torque.Use genuine Danfoss parts (stuffing box, O-rings, and gaskets) for replacement. Before replacing parts, confirm that the material of the new spare part is suitable for the relevant refrigerant.If you have any questions, contact your local Danfossoffice.Drawings are for demonstration purposes only and should not be used for measurement ormachining.
